From June 10 to13 in 2010, led by President Karshunow, Delegation of Altai State Technical University from Russia had a friendly visit to our Institute. During the visit, President Wen Tao met with the members from the delegation. The two sides signed the contract and agreement named "2 +2.5 +0.5" in order to jointly educate the Russian students. The agreement of the project will play an important role in further expanding our educational brand influence in the central regions of Russia. Also, it will broaden the channel of enrolling students from Russia, and optimize our Institute’s strategic layout of admissions of Russian students, improve our educational projects to Russian students.

Appendix: Introduction to Altai State Technical University 

Founded in 1942, formerly known as Altai Machinery Manufacturing Institute, Altai State Technical University, with total 15,000 students, was located in Altai Barnaul city in Russian Federation. The current president is Karshunow.  Altai State Technical University is one of famous universities, and the widely recognized center of science, culture and education in Altai region.

The university was put into operation on February 23, 1942, and in May, 1943 the first batch of 13 engineers graduated. Since May 20, 1959, according to the government instructions, engineering institute was founded on the basis of Zaporozhye Engineering Institute. And in 1961, the university was formally named after the great inventor Ivan Polzunov.
